We have just shared all about Master-planned communities in previous blog posts... but what are they? Master-planned communities are large-scale, mixed-use residential developments with robust, curated amenities that aim to give residents the experience of living in a self-contained town. Amenities can include parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, tennis courts, golf courses, and more. Some also offer commercial enterprises, like stores and restaurants, and the biggest ones may even have their own schools. The communities of Westhaven, Berry Farms, and Tollgate Village all have this concept at the center but are done at various scales.

We are excited to share information about these three wonderful communities and how they compare. Westhaven is the most established, having sold its first home in 2004; their town center opened in 2007—setting the standard for building a community where convenience and comfort bridge. Berry Farms began the bulk of their building in 2011 and is currently expanding their commercial spaces with apartments of various sizes. The latest on the scene is Tollgate Village. With neighborhoods and commercial spaces still under construction, this community offers the opportunity to still be a part of the build from the ground up.

These communities sit at strategic locations near Franklin and offer convenience for work and play. Westhaven sits to the west of Franklin and can conveniently get you to West Nashville in a short time. Berry Farms sits to the east and has quick and convenient access to I-65, making a commute to work in Nashville easy. It sits just 7 minutes from downtown Franklin. Tollgate Village sits to the south of Franklin and has quick access to 840. While sitting a little further south than Westhaven or Berry Farms, it still offers great convenience into Franklin or up to Nashville.

Tollgate fits the needs of every buyer - whether you’re looking for a starter home, an empty-nester condo, a work-live townhouse or a single family home with 5 bedrooms, there is something for everyone here. Homes ranging from the mid-400s to $1M for single family homes. Berry Farms has a wide range of home sizes as well, with prices starting in the $300s for townhomes to upwards of 2 million dollars for single family homes. Westhaven also offers a number of options for families of any size, from condos to estate lots. Homes in Westhaven are listed between the mid-500s up to 3M, with a median list price of 1.5M. Truly, these three communities offer an opportunity for home buyers off any stage.
